Founder, President, and CEO

Vincent Wheeler, LP, has been involved in EMS for over three decades. His extensive experience presented an unparalleled level of knowledge and dedication ensuring solutions that work. He has been the chief of a local volunteer service and has held a number of management roles in the organization. He also worked for 10 years as a paramedic supervisor for a large regional commercial ambulance service. Vincent has served on the Board of Directors for Litchfield County Dispatch and is trained in EMS dispatch services. He is actively engaged in the EMS community throughout the state. Vincent has added emergency preparedness to his repertoire. He was a member if the Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team and was promoted to the role of EMS section leader in 2006. In 2004, Vincent was appointed as the Emergency Management Director for the Town of Harwinton.


Chief Operating Officer

Nick Paproski, LP, EMS-I, DICO-C, is a paramedic field provider and educator with over 18 years of experience working in municipal, fire-based, commercial, and volunteer EMS systems. A graduate of CT Fire Academy recruit class 46, Nick served as a career fire medic for the Ridgefield Fire Department from 2010-2020. During this time he received numerous citations for the development of CME programs and public outreach education. Nick was named Paramedic of The Year in 2019 in Ridgefield and in 2016 in Brookfield.


Nick has been a full-time paramedic for Vintech Management service in Torrington CT since 2014 and during this term served in several supportive and leadership roles before being appointed as the Director of ALS Operations. Since then Nick has worked to modernize Vintech’s virtual compliance and continuing education system and to provide efficient, high-value training that is convenient to access. Nick has also pioneered Vintech’s use of Youtube to self-produce safety and training content for Vintech and the larger EMS community as a whole.


Nick led the company's response and compliance during the COVID-19 pandemic as the full-time COVID liaison and Designated Infection Control Officer. In 2020 he also contributed to the development of a board certification exam for infection control officers with the National Association of Public Safety Infection Control Officers (NAPSICO) and in 2021 successfully completed board certification as a DICO through the IBSC.


In 2020 Nick published an article in Fire Engineering magazine on the topic of Neonatal Brief Resolved Unexplained Events (BRUE) and presented on the same topic at the Journal of EMS national conference in Tampa, Florida. As a staunch advocate for provider mental health and wellness Nick routinely presents on the topic of PTSD for the Fairfield Country Trauma Response Team and has been interviewed for several podcasts and documentaries.

Human Resources Administrator

Linda Scarchuk started with Vintech in 1999 as an AEMT and Supervisor/Manager at our Canton and North West sites. After nearly 20 years of service as a field provider, Linda accepted a position as Vintech's office manager and human resources administrator. In this critical role, Linda Is essential to executing a detailed and efficient onboarding process that helps us to quickly fill vacancies with qualified candidates. Anyone who interacts with Linda will quickly discover that to her our roster is not just a list of names in a database, but are valuable individual providers. As a chairperson of the safety committee, Linda Is able to connect her experience as a provider with her recent experience as an HR administrator to help advise risk reduction strategies. Additionally, Linda represents Vintech at monthly and yearly risk management safety training seminars.
